About MDI

Micro Depot Inc. (MDI) is a system integrator and solution provider located in Norcross, GA. Founded in 1988, MDI has over 30s years of experience in the design and manufacturing of industrial computing & storage systems, working primarily for the Defense, Medical and other Commercial Industries. MDI manufactures both custom and turnkey solutions for applications such as graphics systems, data migration and storage, telemedicine technology carts and computers, enterprise services (ERP), and custom software development, and custom science & engineering solutions.

 

Integral to MDI's philosophy is a creative, ever-evolving approach to system design and a sharp focus on customer satisfaction.

 

MDI is ISO 9001:2015 certified by NSAI, with a rigorous Quality Assurance program called MDIM, which is used to ensure documentation, consistency, performance, and quality for all products. MDI's manufacturing facility is designed for high production capacity (hundreds of systems per week), stress testing, electrostatic protection, and manufacturing areas and QA processes flexible with customer needs.

 

Clean, professional integration and consistency enables the best possible system performance. Product prototypes undergo a complete physical and hardware compatibility review including testing in an industrial thermal test chamber, sound level testing, and power consumption testing. After a customer has signed off on a design, the product's detailed system profile is captured and used as a point of reference for all units produced, which ensures consistency from one batch to the next. MDIM test suites include items such as BIOS, firmware, model numbers, device listing, benchmark performance, stress testing and hundreds of other checks. They may also be adapted to customer needs such as disk image deployment and verification, boot testing, and other physical or logical Quality Assurance measures.

 

MDI works closely with the customer's technical teams and our suppliers to ensure that the product meets the customer's precise requirements. Furthermore MDI endeavors to adopt any quality or manufacturing processes, testing practices, or industrial certifications desired by the customer. This allows MDI to be the most flexible integrator and solution provider for demanding customers such as Lockheed Martin, Rubbermaid Telemedicine, Rockwell Collins, Raytheon, Wegmann, CAE and many others.
