Telemedicine Solutions
Hospitals, Clinics and other Health Care Facilities are dynamic environments, so technology needs to be mobile, to be sharable by many practitioners, and to allow expertise from remote offices to be brought into an exam room. Medical Technology Carts are designed for exactly this purpose.
MDI has been building Telemedicine Solutions and Medical Technology Carts in a partnership with Rubbermaid Healthcare for more than 3 years, and has manufactured and supported medical technology carts for more than 300 hospitals. Medical Technology Carts are mobile medical workstations with the following capabilities:
- Telemedicine carts include a ClinicSmart PC with Microsoft Windows and an Intel Core i3/i5/i7 processor (with low power options) including the Navport System with easy one-click application access and quick and easy video, audio, and content sharing.
- Telepresence carts do not require a PC but still enable teleconferencing in a mobile solution.
- Teleconferencing capabilities with codecs, cameras, microphones and speakers from Cisco, Polycom, Sony, Lifesize, Minrray, Logitech, Jabra, Phoenix Quattro, Dell, Edifier, and ClearOne Chat.
- One or more standard or medical-grade monitors with or without touch screen capability from Barco, Elo, Canvys, and LG.
- Standard or medical-grade keyboard and mouse from HP and Man & Machine.
- Integrates with a variety of computing and medical peripherals from Welch Allyn, JEDMED, 3M Littmann Stethoscopes, and GlobalMed.
- Networking devices such as routers, wireless access points, and switches from Cisco, Netgear and Motorola.
Each cart is a mobile point-of-care platform built for medical environments:
- Easy-to-access I/O panel for plug-and-play peripherals such as HDMI, VGA, S-Video, Composite Video, USB, 3.5mm, and Ethernet.
- Electronic, lockable control panel for height adjustment and adjustable keyboard shelf.
- Ergonomic design with easy to clean, smooth, hard surfaces.
- Heavy base for stability but narrow for ease of maneuverability and locking casters.
- Battery powered with configurable capacity.
- Lockable shelves and cabinets for accessories or medical supplies.
